 WHO WE ARE:

Cycle Recycle collects and refurbishes bikes to provide to kids and adults through community partners. We promote the joy and freedom of safe bike riding for all neighborhoods in our community. Since 2018, we have given away 1,175+ bikes.

Cycle Recycle partners with a variety of community organizations to make our mission happen:

PROVIDING REFURBISHED BIKES TO PROMOTE CYCLING, SAFETY, COMMUNITY, AND THE JOY OF RIDING.

Our partners include:

Gift Mart | The National Cycling Center | Twin City Bike Collective | WSPD Downtown Bike Patrol | YMCA of Northwest North Carolina

Cycle Recycle is a program under the administrative support of Love Out Loud. To find out more about Love Out Loud visit loveoutloudws.com

 DONATE A BIKE:

Cycle Recycle accepts new and used bicycles (that are able to be easily repaired). We have volunteers that are able to re-inflate or replace tires, handlebar grips, seats, and sometimes even repair brakes.

We accept both children and adult bikes and bicycle accessories.

See this story from one of our team members, Chester:

After dropping off a couple of 16" bikes on my front porch, a mother emailed me this note: "My kids were so excited that they are going to some kids that will love them as much as they do!" That is absolutely our story. That is why there is so much energy and love from the community. We call it the circle of love: the child who has loved his bike and gives it to us in the hope that another child will love it as much; the men and women who meet at the warehouse to work on the bikes; and the child who receives a refurbished bike for the first time.

I wrote back, "Thank you for letting me know. My heart leaped. Tell your children that they are superstars."
