The Necessity of Doing Justice

On Thursday, February 23, 2023, at 7:30PM | Bryan Stevenson, the founder and executive director of Equal Justice Initiative and author of Just Mercy, joined the Wake Forest’s Face to Face Speaker Series in Winston-Salem, NC. Through a generous donation as well as tickets purchased by partners, Love Out Loud brought together a group of 225 stakeholders from churches, community partners, and those already engaging or ready to engage in local conversations and service opportunities in areas of justice, equity, and race.

As Bryan lifted up, Justice, Equity, and Race are threads in every area of social good in our community. Whether incarceration and injustice in the penal system, homelessness and housing, immigration, education, health,… - we can all see how injustice and inequity affect every area of marginalization in our community and beyond.

Perhaps you were deeply moved by Bryan’s words and work and need to process what he shared. Maybe you’d like to grow and learn more about these topics. Or maybe you’ve laid a strong foundation of dialogue and learning and are ready to engage and act.

Join us for a follow-up conversation on Thursday, March 2, at Love Out Loud’s offices at The HUB at the ACC, 502 N Broad Street, WS/NC. Other opportunities for next steps to discuss, learn and serve are continually curated through the links below.
