Triad Restorative Justice: Circle Keeper Workshop

The Circle Process is one of the core practices of restorative justice. For most partner opportunities, we suggest starting with the Circle Keeper Training offered on May 11 at 9am. Visit www.TriadRJ.org/trainings for more info and to register for the training.

Here are our community partnering opportunities:

Mission Partner: Attend a training and use restorative principles and the circle process in your own community groups — whether that’s a school, Sunday school class, book club, support group, social activism, youth program, family, neighborhood association, etc. Our training includes follow-up support to help you plan your first circles.

Program Partner: Attend a training and volunteer in one of our programs that are just getting started.  We hope to have a series of community conversation circles starting this summer, and some after-school and Saturday morning youth programs starting in the fall. One of these programs will be working with youth involved in the juvenile justice system, and others will be working with youth in local middle and/or high schools.

Mission-Program Hybrid Partner: Do you have a passion for particular cause or group that would benefit from restorative practices and is not yet organized? This may be an opportunity for us to work with you to help you get your own restorative circle group started.

Organizational Partner: Help our organization develop a strong foundation as a resource in our community. This may involve offering your professional or technical skills in accounting, marketing, communication, non-profit legal services, fundraising, grant writing, community connections, etc. Organizational partners could also host Circles in their homes to introduce Triad RJ to their network of friends and help raise financial and community support for our work.

Business Partner: There are many businesses looking to make a positive impact in the community. We would love to have business partners to support our work financially or with in-kind donations (current needs for in-kind donations: food-based donations for events, printing and promotional materials for our programs, space for our weekly programs and eventually we’ll be needing more permanent office & programming space)

Most of these opportunities start with our Circle Keeper Training on May 11 (we will offer this training again in the fall as well) so go ahead and sign up if you are interested! Click HERE to register!
